Recognize The Real NT Dollar with Bare Eyes

Today (Aug 3rd) I visited the "2005 Scientific Season–Exploring Physics Expo" in C.K.S. Memorial Hall, Taipei, and I learned a small living tip to recognize the real NT Dollar from one of the booths.

According to this exhibitor, there are fourteen anti-fake designs in the New Taiwanese Dollar. Until now, twelve of them have been hacked. The only two left are the infrared ink and the tiny numbers in numerical figures. The infrared ink need special instruments to do the recognition, while the small numbers can be recognized with your bare eyes if you are not suffering presbyopia like me, you should be able to tell the truthfulness with bare eyes. Even if you have suffered presbyopia already, using a magnify glass should be able to help you to find the truth! Since the New Taiwanese Dollar was printed with gravure, while gravure is restrained in Taiwan, the normal lithographic printing is hard to reproduce the sharp tiny numbers; thus if you look a fake bill with a magnify glass, you should be able to find the halftone dots! Whereas in the introduction brochures for recognize the real NT Dollar from the Central Bank of Taiwan, I remember there is no description about the tiny numbers. Therefore, I would like to share this little trick that I've learned today!¶
